Hankering for a hunk of steak? The Magic Mining Company can dig
one up for you and guarantees it will "satisfy the most ornery of
appetites." Which is to say the mine is used to pickers.
The menu is typical of most surf-n-turf
family style eateries, but what makes this place
a real gem are the little extras inside the eating area.
Weaving it's way amidst the poly-styrofoam rock formations that
comprise the exterior and partial interior of the building is an
electric train. Twenty-five cents will set it chugging. With a
fistful of quarters you can rail the kiddies away from the table
to it or video machines at a depot in the back of the restaurant.
After you have had your fill of fish and fowl, feel free to putt
around on the roof of the building. The greatest discovery at the
Magic Mining Company is that there's golf in them there hills!
Amazingly, two 18-hole courses extending three stories sit atop the
restaurant. Getting the shaft should always be this entertaining.
