Pictured in 1984 is Sunken Garden's exhibit on the life of Christ called "The King Of Kings" Christian wax museum. They became an original fixture at the Florida attraction in 1968. The dioramas were purchased in 1998 and Jesus was sent packing to to Iowa. The Museum of Religious Arts was set to debut later that year and have them on display. In April 2001 the heavens finally opened and the public was let in. The Museum of Religious Arts houses a collection of religious paraphernalia from books to stained glass. The 40 life-size wax figures are by far the feature attraction. Literature touts them as "one of a kind" and "world famous!" Maybe it's just me, but Iowa hardly seems fit for a king. Update 2/03: Leone Chaney, creator of the "The King Of Kings" exhibit for Sunken Gardens, died on January 29th, 2003 in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was 85.
