There are no slim pickings in Ashburn, Georgia. The town understands that the peanut has had a profound effect on their economy and they would have to be nuts not to recognize this fact. Thus comes the great outcropping on the land which has gone on to claim the title of the World's Largest Peanut.

The peanut was put on its brick pedestal in 1975 and given a royal treatment of effects. A pair of floodlights illuminate the tower at night. Bicycle reflectors serve as jewels on the tips of the crown. No expense seemed too great to shell out on the noble nut.
